Composition is the visual arrangement and balance of the graphic parts of the poster. Careful consideration is essential for tying the elements of color, line, space, value, and shape together. A strong visual composition sustains the viewer's attention and helps transmit the poster's message. There are three basic types of balance for compositions and they will be discussed on the following pages.
